Clear zone established for Garrett Bay Road redo

The Liberty Grove Town Board settled on a plan for the future of Garrett Bay Road at its regular meeting Wednesday.

The board voted 3-2 in favor of a 6-foot clear zone along the road, with exceptions for some trees. The decision marks an end to a contentious debate about the size of the clear zone, although discussions about which trees will be excepted will continue among members of the Highway Committee and Garrett Bay Road property owners.
