A 58-year-old Friendship man authorities say robbed a Grand Marsh bank told a friend he did it to pay off a drug debt with a "Mexican cartel," according to court documents.

Randy Glenn Paulson pleaded not guilty Friday in federal court to two charges related to the July 3 armed robbery of the Grand Marsh State Bank. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
