The village of Weston has partnered with a local organization to bring the sport of disc golf to children and teach newcomers playing basics.

Wausau Area Disc Golf Enthusiasts and the village of Weston will host the inaugural children's free disc golf clinic July 20 at Yellow Banks Park in Weston.

Pete Hoover, 56, of Mosinee started the Wausau Area Disc Golf Enthusiasts, or WADGE, group about a decade ago to build the sport in the Wausau area. He began to recruit other players and organize weekly leagues, along with local tournaments. ...
