Sturgeon Bay School Board approves preliminary budget, short-term borrowing

The Sturgeon Bay School Board approved its preliminary 2013-14 school year budget Wednesday to give the district the option of joining a collective of school districts looking to get short-term borrowing bids.

Sturgeon Bay Business Manager Tom Olsen said the preliminary budget could change before the board approves a final budget in the fall. As the tentative budget stands now, the district is looking at $13.745 million in revenue for its general fund and $13.957 million in expenditures.
