Registration for the afterschool programs facilitated by the Boys & Girls Club starts Aug. 1 at the Johnsonville Club, located at 76 W. Second St. Parents and guardians can sign their children up Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., anytime after Aug. 1.

The afterschool program starts Tuesday, Sept. 3 and runs until May 23, 2014. Programs run Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. for elementary members at the Johnsonville Club, Chegwin and Pier afterschool sites; and also from 3 to 7 p.m. for teens at the Johnsonville Teen Center.

The Johnsonville site serves elementary, middle and high school students and provides transportation from Parkside, Evans, Riverside, Sabish, Theisen, Woodworth and Fond du Lac High School. Afterschool programs at Chegwin and Pier are open only to students from those schools.

Memberships for the afterschool program are just $50; and a family maximum of $100.

Scholarships are available to qualifying youth and families through the Sadoff Iron and Metal Scholarship Fund.

The Boys & Girls Club afterschool programs are designed to provide a safe and structured environment during the afterschool hours for students to continue to learn, obtain homework help and tutoring and take part in numerous enrichment activities that are both fun and educational.
