Bring the whole family to celebrate Maple Fall Fest Sept. 14 and 15 at Wildwood Park in Marshfield.
Come hungry to devour stacks of pancakes and sought after potato pancakes all topped with melted butter, exclusive Wenzel Farm Maple Sausage and some of Wisconsin's best local maple syrup sure to satisfy the whole family. After you eat your fill, check out how maple syrup is made, and you can take home some syrup and even the tools and knowledge to tap your trees and cook up some homemade maple goodness of your own.
Maple Fall Fest is well known for hosting some of the best handmade craft vendors from all across the Midwest and beyond for the ultimate shopping experience. Whether you are looking for home decor, clothing, wood carving, metal art, and everything in between, you will be sure to find it here with more than 120 vendors. Be sure to visit the local Amish booths with handmade baskets, rugs, fresh noodles and bakery items.
New this year will be an appearance by TV personalities Mad Dog and Merrill with a fun show featuring maple grilling and samples of the delicious flavors for all Saturday at 1 p.m. Please see all the fun things they do on their website at www.maddogandmerrill.com. If you are not too stuffed from this, you will have plenty of food vendors to choose from with your favorite festival fair including barbecue, kettle corn and delectable deep fried treats.
We have two contests with cash prizes to crown the best of Maple Fall Fest 2013. Syrup makers be sure to enter the Best of Marshfield Maple Syrup Contest, and we also have the Maple Dessert Baking Contest.
