If you need to slow down a little and are looking for something relaxing to do, how about joining Lowell Center for a day trip? -

On Aug. 20, join us as we travel to Waupaca and enjoy a morning cruise on the Chain O' Lakes and later tour the Veterans Home at King. We also will stop at the Cottage Garden Farm where you can find something for everyone.

On Oct.,17 view the beautiful fall colors as we travel north to view the "Birds in Art" exhibit at Woodson Art Museum, tour the beautiful historical Yawkey House Museum and, of course, stop at Mullin's Cheese on the ride home.

Both trips include lunch, and you will travel aboard an air-conditioned motor coach in comfort. Stop by Lowell Center office for more information or place your deposit of $10 per person for each trip to hold your seat.

Additional trips are planned but are currently filled. We encourage you to check out our Trip Guide and place your name on an interest list.

Is the warm humid weather keeping you inside? Looking for a place of air-conditioned comfort? Stop in and join a card group for the afternoon. We offer sheepshead, cribbage, hand 'n' foot, bridge and mixed cards. Call Lowell Center at 715-421-1051 for dates and times.

Maybe exercise is what you are looking for. We offer Arthritis Foundation Exercise class, senior exercise (guided but at your own pace) and the padded walking path for ease on your joints.

A game of pool? Learn to play Mah-jongg. Join an art class. There are many things to keep you busy this summer at Lowell Center. Stop in and visit soon.

The Lowell Center is open from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Anyone 50 and older is welcome and encouraged to participate in Lowell Center programs and activities.
