Christine Klessig has suffered from hearing loss for more than a third of her life. The 62-year-old Amherst Junction woman has a history of hearing loss in her family, and because of that she began wearing hearing aids about 25 years ago.

But even with her hearing aids, Klessig, a retired attorney, still struggled to hear in group settings and would battle with her husband over the volume on their television.

But that all changed five years ago when Klessig learned about hearing loop technology, a system that provides a magnetic, wireless signal to hearing aids that have a telecoil built ...
