Wisconsin Power and Light files for rate increase

Alliant Energy's Wisconsin utility, Wisconsin Power and Light Company, filed its annual electric fuel cost plan today with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW). The plan includes a 1.9 percent net increase in retail electric rates for calendar year 2014 due to expected higher electric fuel costs next year.

Alliant Energy's plan includes a monthly increase of approximately $1.14 for the typical residential customer. Impacts of the change would vary for residential, commercial and industrial customers, depending on their usage patterns and the final rate level ...
