Backpack campaign at 37 percent after one week

Readers of the Oshkosh Northwestern donated $4,830 in the first week of the 13th annual DO It! Backpack for Kids campaign. That put the campaign at 37 percent of its $13,000 goal.

The money raised in the Do It! campaign will provide backpacks and school supplies that will be distributed to children in need at the annual Back to School Fair on Aug. 15 at Oshkosh North High School Organizers of the Back to School Fair report that 1,000 children are registered for the event, which also provides haircuts, socks and underwear, clothes, vision and hearing ...
