The Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northcentral Wisconsin has appointed a new executive director.

Jacki Gessler, a certified human resources professional who has worked at HRSource/Benefit Concepts of Wausau and Aqua Finance, was hired to take the place of Tom Kellnhauser, who resigned in June.

Gessler has been an active volunteer on the Big Brothers Big Sisters board, and is a "big" mentor through the program. Gessler also has been instrumental in planning for the organization's annual Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser and is helping organize the annual Big Taste fundraiser set for Sept. 21 this year at The Patriot Center in Rothschild.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northcentral Wisconsin's school-based program serves the D.C. Everest, Wausau, Mosinee, Marathon and Merrill school districts. Nationally, Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest and largest mentoring organization in the United States.
