Foss completes VISTA year with Habitat

AmeriCorps VISTA member Lydia Foss finished her year of service with Door County Habitat for Humanity on Friday.

Foss coordinated the A Brush With Kindness Program which assists elderly, disabled, and low income families in fixing up their homes. The program has done re-roofing, building of wheelchair ramps, scraping and painting home exteriors, and doing minor home repairs. In 2012, eight families were helped with painting, wheelchair ramps, and roof repairs.
