Nothing can really prepare you for the first few days at home with your new baby. Newborns are tiny, helpless individuals that need everything done for them. By learning some simple techniques to help care for your baby like how to diaper and bathe them, you can increase your confidence as a parent, and learn to relax and enjoy your new baby.

Join an Agnesian HealthCare labor and delivery nurse for instruction and demonstration regarding infant care, such as feeding, bathing, navel care, circumcision care and diapering.

The class covers how to respond to your infant's cues, signs and symptoms of an ill infant, newborn safety and much more! This class should be completed by the end of the eight month of pregnancy.

"Baby Care Basics" is scheduled for Thursday, July 25 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Agnesian HealthCare's Journeys: a health resource center, 430 E. Division St., Fond du Lac. The cost is $30 per couple.

For more information or to register for this program, call Journeys: a health resource center at 926-4960; or e-mail classes@agnesian.com
