Elks bowling event rivals police and fire fighters

Elks Lodge 57 hosted a bowling event for the city of Fond du Lac's fire fighters vs. police department.

The police department won $550 for highest overall team score and the team with the most strikes. Team captain was detective Steve Kaufmann. Proceeds on behalf of the FDL Police Department will go to FreeSPIRIT Riders.

The fire department was awarded $200. Their team had the bowler with the most strikes and bowler with highest score. Team captain was Lt. Todd Shippee. Proceeds on behalf of the FDL Fire Department will go to the Solutions Center.

The funds for this event came from the Elks National Foundation's Gratitude Grant.
