'Signature' fire trucks roll into town

Pink balloons and onlookers wearing pink shirts lined the route of the pink fire trucks making their way to Holy Family Memorial Medical Center on Monday.

The trucks and their support vehicles were part of the national "Pink Heals: Cares Enough to Wear Pink" tour by the Guardians of the Ribbon organization.

Cancer survivors, patients and those touched by cancer were invited to write their names on the two trucks, each covered in thousands of signatures from across the country. Firefighters, decked out in pink gear, gave out hugs and long-stemmed roses. ...
