Next Saturday marks a significant milestone in my life. It will be my 60th birthday.

I simply can't believe it. When I was a kid, the prospect of being age 46 when we reached the new millennium was completely incomprehensible. And, no, I don't think I used the word millennium until I was at least 35. But now I'm about to turn 60 and not quite sure if I should laugh or cry. I'll laugh and hope you don't mind some reflections from a life influenced by sports.
