Chiefs pitchers help deliver doubleheader sweep

Northern Door closed out the regular season on a high note by sweeping Kewaunee County in a Legion baseball doubleheader Saturday in Baileys Harbor.

Tanner Biwer pitched a four-hitter with 14 strikeouts to lead the Chiefs to a 5-1 win in the opener, while Matt Hecht struck out 10 batters in a 9-6 win in the nightcap.

The Chiefs scored five runs in the fifth inning to overcome a 1-0 deficit in the opener. Biwer hit a leadoff double, and Cody Giesseman, Cam Zak and Will Gonzales followed with RBI singles. ...
