When the Green Bay Packers report to training camp today, they will do so with their full complement of rookies.

First-round draft pick Datone Jones was the last of their 11 draft picks to agree to a contract. He did so Wednesday, according to an NFL source, and was at the team’s camp headquarters at St. Norbert College in De Pere later that evening.

Like all first-round picks, Jones will sign a standard four-year deal that will be slotted based on where he was selected, at No. 26 overall. The contract was not completed before the close of official NFL business Wednesday but is expected to be finalized today, when the players undergo medical exams and the conditioning test at Lambeau Field.

Jones’ deal likely is worth slighty more than the four-year, $7.62 million that the 27th overall pick, receiver DeAndre Hopkins, signed with the Houston Texans on Monday.

Jones, a defensive end from UCLA, is expected to compete for a starting job. In college, he played in a system similar to the 3-4 scheme run by Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers. UCLA defensive coordinator Lou Spanos ran almost the same defense. Spanos was on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ coaching staff with Capers early in their careers.
