WhyNotWausau? returns for fourth year

A one-day festival intended to showcase everything new and exciting about the Wausau area will kick off again Saturday.

The main event of WhyNotWausau? each year is a free Saturday evening concert on The 400 Block in downtown Wausau; this year's concert features a Yorkville, Ill.-based band called The Giving Tree Band, which plays folk and bluegrass music and has been compared to The Band, Neil Young and Bob Dylan. The Milwaukee-based funk and blues quintet Charles Walker Band will open the concert starting at 7 p.m. The concert will run until 10 p.m. and will be held rain or shine.
