The U.S. Navy chief of naval operations visited Marinette Marine Corp. Wednesday, where the shipyard and Lockheed Martin are building a version of the Littoral Combat Ship.

The visit came a day ahead of a Government Accountability Office report suggesting the Navy should restrict some of its spending on the LCS program "until it achieves key acquisition and testing milestones."

As part of Wednesday's visit, U.S. Navy Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Jonathan Greenert met with company and shipyard officials for a briefing and program update on the LCS program, according to Lockheed ...
