Man arrested in Neenah after Oshkosh gas station robbery

A 54-year-old Oshkosh man was arrested at a Neenah motel Friday after a gas station robbery in Oshkosh.

The man walked into the Marathon gas station at 1320 Oshkosh Ave. about 8:15 p.m., demanded money from the clerk and fled in a car, said Oshkosh police Lt. Don Wilson.

Neenah police spotted the suspectís car outside a motel on Green Bay Road, seized the car and searched the manís motel room with the help of Oshkosh police, Wilson said. Items related to the robbery were found during the search.

The man was arrested about 1:25 a.m. Friday and is being held on a probation violation.

The robbery is under investigation and police ask anyone with information to call Oshkosh Detective Dean Artus at 920-236-5700, or Crime Stoppers at 800-621-2274 to remain anonymous.
