It's 9 p.m. Wednesday - less than 48 hours before the start of the weekend's races at State Park Speedway - and there's a flurry of activity inside the garage on the corner of East Thomas and McCleary streets that driver Neil Knoblock owns.

Just inside the main door, veteran crew member Brian Normand is working on the brakes of a black Limited Late Model car in preparation of Knoblock driving it in Friday's Super 8 Series race.

At the back of the building, with a radio tuned to a classic rock station providing background noise, Knoblock and two other crew members are making adjustments to the engine ...
