Holy Cross Associate Freida Swanson, left, accepts a check for $250 on behalf of St. Vincent de Paul Outreach from associate co-director Carol Mancl. Associates raised $1,000 through the sale of homemade candy during the November Craft Fair at Bell Tower Residence. Other checks were presented to Sister Linda Songy's Prison Ministry in Louisiana; Sisters Mary Angela Sackmann and Joelle Mauer, Owensboro, Ky., Ministry; and to help a single mother and her family in Merrill. The Holy Cross Associates is a group of Christian women and men who fulfill their baptismal call by following the charism of the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross.
