Dirt is Supper and a Show topic

This week we're getting down and dirty. On Thursday, the Central Wisconsin Nature Foundation will host the second in its summer Supper and a Show film series, with the film, "Dirt! the Movie." Join us at 6 p.m. in the Rome Municipal Building as we explore the components and residents of dirt, and then learn about the sandy soils of Adams County. Jeanne Osgood will introduce everyone to vermiculture (worm composting), and our special guest Don Genrich, Adams County soils specialist from University of Wisconsin-Extension, will hold a Q & A about the perfect Plainfield sand that we live upon.

Everyone is welcome, and, as always, everything is free. Please call the Rome Municipal Building at 715-325-8013 to make a reservation, to ensure we have enough food for all. Suppers consist of grass-fed beef from Bice Critter Ranch and organic vegetables from the Rome Farmers Market. We would especially like to thank the folks at Walmart and the Lure Grille and Bar for providing the meal this week.
