Ripon's 18th Annual tribute to all thing cookies will take place on Saturday Aug. 3 at Barlow Park in Ripon from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., rain or shine. The free event will feature a variety of activities for kids to enjoy including decorating cookies, Kookie Cookie Bingo, Rocket Shop & Launch Pad, face painting, children's activity tent, and more.

The highlights of the event are the Cookie Hunts and Cookie Drops.

During the Cookie Drops, thousands of Rippin' Good Cookies are hoisted high above the crowd via a fire truck and then dropped. As the cookies float from the sky and hit the ground, children scurry around and collect as many as they can. Certain cookies can be redeemed for small prizes; however each Cookie Drop has a grand prize winner in which the lucky kid can win a Plasma Car or a new bike.

Cookie Daze also features a Bake & Taste Competition, which encourages area bakers to try their best recipes for a chance to win prizes or the coveted People's Choice Award. Cookie Daze Bake & Taste information is available on the Ripon Chamber of Commerce Website at www.ripon-wi.com

A food and beverage tent will be on the grounds during Cookie Daze. Cookie Daze would not be possible without the generous support of local and area businesses, and volunteers who make this event truly a destination for generations.
