City backs off parade policy

After the furor caused by Sheboygan Police removing blankets and chairs from the parade route before this past July 4 parade, city officials have backed off that policy.

In a statement release Monday afternoon, Mayor Mike Vandersteen said parade-goers will be able to put out their seating along the parade route up to four hours prior to the start of a parade.

Citizens will be asked to reserve a reasonable space, keeping in mind that more than 20,000 generally line the parade route on July 4th, ...
