? River Cities Bank recently announced a number of promotions.

Tom Marti has been promoted to executive vice president/chief operating officer. Marti has been with River Cities Bank since it opened in 1997 and manages the operations and compliance departments.

Nathan Quinnell has been promoted to vice president. Nathan has been with the bank for eight years and is part of the operations and information technology departments at the bank.

Nick Inman was promoted to assistant vice president/credit officer. Nick manages the credit department and has been with the bank for more than six years.

River Cities Bank was started in 1997 and is based in Wisconsin Rapids. Branch offices are located in Stevens Point and Baraboo.

? Glisczynski & Associates, located in Plover, recently attended a conference for the 2011 sixth-fastest growing Registered Investment Advisory firm in the United States, BrookStone Capital Management.

The two-day conference culminated with an awards ceremony recognizing the outstanding achievements of individual investment adviser representatives and outstanding firms throughout the country.

Investment Advisor Representative Patrick Marcell was recognized as the 2012 best overall financial planner. Investment adviser representative Jason Glisczynski was recognized for having more than $10 million under management, putting him in the top 5 percent of advisers with BrookStone Capital Management.

Glisczynski and Associates also was recognized as Most Dynamic Group for 2012, the first award of its kind since BrookStones' inception in 2006.

Furniture

? Stevens Point-based Emmons Business Interiors, Wisconsin's largest furniture dealership, has earned a distinguished award from The HON Co. for outstanding sales and service to its office furniture customers in 2012.

HON, the largest operating company of HNI Corp., the second-largest office furniture manufacturer in the world, honored EBI with the award during the recent "Team Up with HON" 30th anniversary dealer loyalty trip to Monte Carlo.

Health

? Ministry Health Care has welcomed Kristine Metz, a family nurse practitioner, to Ministry Medical Group Plover at 2401 Plover Road.

Metz earned her master's degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and also holds a bachelor's in nursing from UW-Madison. She is certified in basic cardiac life support.

? Terri Konkol and Janice Brzezinski are two of the first registered dental hygienists in Wisconsin to have successfully received their certification in nonsurgical Laser Periodontal Therapy.

Karen Rodriguez also is one of the first dental assistants in the state certified to assist the hygienists and dentists. All three work with Andrew Crow and Ronald Zagorski of Crow Family Dental in Stevens Point.

Sports

? Steve Dupee, formerly of Arpin, recently was recognized as one of the country's top 40 sports business executives under the age of 40 by Sports Business Journal.

Dupee and the other recipients, including Miami Heat CEO Nick Arison and San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York, received their awards at a special ceremony last month in Naples, Fla. Dupee is the son of Darrell and Judy Dupee of Arpin and is a graduate of Auburndale High School. Dupee is the senior vice president of client management at GMR Marketing.

The Forty Under 40 Awards program was initiated by Sports Business Journal in 1999 to identify and honor the most promising young executives in sports business. A committee of editors and writers selects the 40 executives from among hundreds of nominations received each year.

Service

? Portage County Treasurer Stephanie Stokes recently was elected treasurer of the Wisconsin County Treasurer's Association. She will serve a two-year term as a member of its Executive Committee.

Stokes, who has been treasurer in Portage County for 12 years, currently is chairwoman of the WCTA Nominating Committee. She previously served as a district president and vice president, and as a member of the organization's technology committee.

The WCTA also has adopted a training manual and calendar of duties for county treasurers, written by Stokes, for use as a training tool for new county treasurers and as a reference resource for experienced county treasurers.
