Sauter captures Detjens Memorial title

It seemed only fitting that the No. 99 was in victory lane for the Larry Detjens Memorial race again.

Tim Sauter took the lead from Chris Wimmer with just over 45 laps left and held on in a late restart to win the 33rd 33rd annual race at State Park Speedway Saturday as his black stockcar sported the same number used by Dick Trickle - a three-time winner of the race. It comes just a few months after Trickle, who had attended the 150-lap race at the speedway the past four years, committed suicide.
