Amid the coolest temperatures of the summer, people gathered throughout the day on The 400 Block to exercise, paint and rock out to music.

The activities were part of the fourth annual WhyNotWausau? festival, an event intended to showcase what is new and exciting about the Wausau area. Though the event's theme remains the same, the activities tend to change from year to year.

The signature part of the event is a free concert on The 400 Block, which this year featured Milwaukee-based blues outfit The Charles Walker Band and Illinois-based folk and bluegrass band The Giving Tree Band. Also on the ...
