Record Show Typhoid Cases, Milk Sale Is Stopped: There have been twenty-four cases of typhoid fever reported in the city from Oct. 1, 1912, to July 29, 1913, and at the present time there are four cases of the disease in the city, according to records on file in the office of City Physician F. M. McGauley.

Marian College Ready To Open: Two new members have been asses to the faculty of Marian college preparatory to the opening of the fall term Sept. 8 when an increased enrollment is expected, Sr. M. Bera, dean of the school announced today. They are Sr. M Claire as head of the social science department and Miss Nellie Shechy head of the education department. The former holds a Ph.D degree from Fordham university, New York, and the latter a master's degree from the University of Iowa.

Theresa Soldier, 24, Is Ambushed In Korea Action: A 24-year-old Theresa army private was killed today in a dawn ambush by North Korean troops just south of the demilitarized zone, about 20 miles south of Seoul. The attacked also claimed the life of a buddy and critically wounded another. Pvt. David A. Seiler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Erich Seiler, Theresa, R1, was found dead by army officials on a Korean roadside. With him was the body of Pfc. Charles Dessart III, 19, of Drexel Hill, Pa, and another friend, Pfc. William Foster, 26 of Baltimore, Md.
