Sevastopol: Pinney remembered at park dedication

Several dozen people gathered in the rain and the 55-degree weather Sunday for the dedication of George K. Pinney County Park along the Green Bay shoreline in the town of Sevastopol.

Pinney was Door County parks director from 1995 until his death from cancer last year. The County Board had approved the resolution to rename the Olde Stone Quarry Park in Pinney's honor a few months before he passed away.
