Thanks for coming
The Namur Belgian Heritage Foundation would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of our Belgian Waffle Breakfast held on June 23 at the center. Thank you to Roder Farms for the donation of potatoes and to all volunteers for their skills and time that made this event possible.
A special thank you goes to the "Swat Team," a group of students from several high schools in Evanston, Ill., area. They refer to themselves as "modern madrigals" that perform impromptu mini concerts along their journey from occasional engagements away from the Chicago-area. They are under the direction of Mike O'Mara from the Music Institute of Chicago. They sing traditional madrigal pieces and original works by their conductor.
Their singing was enjoyed by everyone. It was such a wonderful and pleasant surprise. We extend a thank you to each one of these gifted students and their director.

Team saved a life
On behalf of the Sevastopol Emergency Medical Responders, I would like to thank Door County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Shortreed, Egg Harbor EMRs Dustin and Dan Kiehnau, Jacksonport EMR Aaron LeClair, Sturgeon Bay firefighter Matt Austad and Lt. Dick Stuewer, paramedics Brian Geibel and Ken Long, EMS Operations Director Tony Luchini and Door County dispatchers Cindy Hasenjager and Linda Nault for a job well done June 27 at a medical call on the corner of Wisconsin 42 and Clark Lake Road.
Without the actions of those people mentioned above, there would have been a different outcome to that call. It is with great pleasure to know that in someone's time of need, people will drop what they are doing to save someone's life.
I am very glad to see that we have such a great working relationship between departments, as there were six different departments that in some way responded to that call.
Thank you again for what you do.
