Pastor and Mrs. Larry Zessin will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 10. They were married on that date in 1963 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Watertown by the Rev. Theophil Baganz of Sturgeon Bay.

Larry and Dolores Zessin now reside in Forestville, and he serves as pastor at Emanuel's Lutheran Church in Kolberg. He has been in the ministry for 48 years.

Dolores is retired from the nursing profession.

They have been blessed with three children: Natalie (Charles) Pratt of Oshkosh, Michael (Alisa) Zessin of Oshkosh, and Beth (Rev. Donn) Dobberstein of Daytona Beach, Fla. They have seven grandchildren: Rebecca and Daniel Pratt, Caleb, Lydia, Aleah and Levi Dobberstein, and Crystal Zessin.

Their children have planned a family vacation for the entire family at a lake lodge near Hayward. It was a place they went as children, and the family made wonderful memories there.

Larry and Dolores will also be retracing their honeymoon trip to upper Michigan and Lake Superior.
