APPLETON — Appleton police arrested a 19-year-old man who admitted selling heroin to a 23-year-old man who died of an overdose of the drug in June.

He is accused of reckless homicide and manufacture/delivery of narcotics. The 19-year-old man admitted during an interview with investigators Friday that he sold heroin to the victim. He was taken to the Outagamie County Jail on a probation hold, Appleton Sgt. Dave Lund said.

Police started the death investigation on June 22 after the 23-year-old manís body was found in a home in the 700 block of W. Franklin Street. Police found signs of drug use near the body and an autopsy revealed that heroin was a major factor in his death.
