Pooch Plunge returns to the VFW Park pool

The De Pere Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department and the De Pere Dog Park Committee will host the second annual Pooch Plunge for dogs Sunday, Aug. 18, at VFW Park swimming pool on the city's west side.

Dogs and their owners are invited to this fun event. For only $5 per dog, pooches can swim in the pool and participate in some fun events, such as jump contests, splash contests and a swimsuit competition.

The event will start at 1 p.m. and end at 4:45. The pool will close for the 2013 summer season at the conclusion of the Pooch Plunge. ...
