Winners announced in Plein Air Festival

'Niagara Escarpment' by Mark Boedges of Burlington, Vt., received the Best in Show Award at the Door County Plein Air Festival. Boedges also won an Artists' Choice award for his painting 'Sturgeon Bay Shipyard.'

Featured Artist awards were announced for the Peninsula School of Art's seventh annual Door County Plein Air Festival.

Mark Boedges of Burlington, Vt., was named as the winner of both the Best of Show and Artists' Choice awards for his oil paintings "Niagara Escarpment" and "Sturgeon Bay Shipyard," respectively. "Niagara Escarpment" presented a dramatic view of a rocky cliff at water's edge and "Sturgeon Bay Shipyard" featured the beauty of industrial and marine objects.
