Komen Race for the Cure seeks volunteers
The Central Wisconsin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is looking for volunteers for its annual Race for the Cure in downtown Wausau on Aug. 11.
"We are looking for more than 350 volunteers for this year's race," said Amanda Patterson, Race for the Cure chairwoman for the Central Wisconsin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
There are many opportunities to pitch in on the day of the race, including registration, finish line greeters, assisting with sponsors and other contributors. Or you can sign up to help out for jobs that need to be completed before, starting Aug. 8.
Volunteer shifts range from two hours to six hours.
All volunteers will receive specific instructions via email. They will also receive a free T-shirt.
To register as a volunteer, visit www.komencentralwi.org and click on the "Get Involved" tab and go to the volunteer page. If you have questions, email Amanda at firstname.lastname@example.org.
