The Weston Village Board met in closed session 10 times over six months to discuss a new Weston-Rib Mountain fire district without properly notifying the public as required by state law, according to a complaint the local firefighters union filed with the district attorney.

New details emerged July 31 about the complaint filed by International Association of Fire Fighters Local 415, which represents about 60 full-time firefighters in Wausau and Weston, as union representatives held a press conference to make their case to the public.
