Backpack for kids campaign needs to raise $21,600 more before August 18

Post-Crescent Media's "Backpacks for Kids" Do It! community Challenge is almost one-third of the way toward its $30,000 goal.

The 18th annual campaign, which kicked off July 21, provides basic classroom supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, folders, pens and pencils for children who cannot afford them. The campaign ends Aug. 16.
