Residents from the village of Port Edwards and the town of Saratoga gather at the Edwards Park Shelter on Wednesday for a public hearing on a proposed border agreement between the two communities.
When officials from Saratoga and the village of Port Edwards meet next week to discuss a proposed border agreement, some residents hope those officials will keep them in mind.
On Monday, the village of Port Edwards Planning and Legislative Committee will evaluate the proposed agreement requested by Great Norther Timber Co., which is owned by brothers Brad and Pat Pavloski. If approved, the agreement would transfer Great Northern Timber residential project property in Port Edwards to Saratoga for a period of 10 years. The Village Board will consider the issue Aug. 13.
