Students seek insights on understanding dementia

Four area college students have spent their summer hanging out with people old enough to be their parents ... or grandparents.

It was part of a two-month research project overseen by Susan McFadden, professor emerita in the Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

The objective was to recruit and then interview people age 55 and older living in subsidized housing run by the City of Appleton and Outagamie County.
