? Adam Hinker joined the Portage County Bank June 23 as branch manager at the Plover office, 2520 Post Road. He has more than 10 years of experience in banking.

The Portage County Bank is a locally owned and managed, full service community bank. Established in 1901, it serves five branches located in Almond, two in Stevens Point, and one each in Plover and Plainfield.

? Paul Adamski, president and CEO of The Pineries Bank in Stevens Point, has been re-nominated to serve a three-year term on the Wisconsin Bankers Association Board of Directors.

The Wisconsin Bankers Association is the state's largest financial industry trade association, representing nearly 270 commercial banks and savings institutions, their nearly 2,300 branch offices and 23,000 employees.

? CU Campus Resources has announced a partnership with CoVantage Credit Union to offer private student loans to its members.

CU Campus Resources provides customized student loan and campus relationship advisory services to credit unions that have relationships with schools in their community or are community-based credit unions.

CoVantage Credit Union is a community-chartered credit union that serves members throughout Brown, Clark, Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Menominee, Oconto, Oneida, Outagamie, Portage, Price, Shawano, Taylor, Waupaca and Wood counties in Wisconsin; as well as in Iron and Dickinson counties in Michigan. The $1 billion financial cooperative is headquartered in Antigo and has offices in Antigo, Shawano, Wausau, Weston, Rib Mountain, Rothschild, Rhinelander, Crandon; and Iron River and Crystal Falls, Mich.


? GastroIntestinal Associates is pleased to announce a new outreach clinic location in Wisconsin Rapids. Dr. Veronika Gagovic and Karen M. Wayda will be providing services beginning in July. The GI Associates clinic space will be located within the Aspirus Doctors Clinic at 2031 Peach Street.

Dr. Gagovic sees patients at the GI Associates main clinic in Wausau, as well as performing procedures at GI Associates Endoscopy Center and Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Wayda is seeing patients at the new Wisconsin Rapids clinic location and will continue to see patients at the GI Associates main clinic in Wausau as well as the Stevens Point outreach clinic.

GI Associates is the largest physician practice in northern and central Wisconsin dedicated exclusively to gastroenterology care. Gastroenterologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of adults and children with diseases of the digestive tract, pancreas, liver and gall bladder.

In addition to the new Wisconsin Rapids clinic location, GI Associates has locations serving Wausau, Merrill, Stevens Point, Woodruff and Eagle River.

? Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services is a national partner of We Honor Veterans and recently received Partner Level Three status.

Developed by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs, the program is designed to empower hospice professionals to meet the unique needs of dying veterans.

Partner Level Three status has been achieved by only three hospice programs in Wisconsin. The status means that ACCHS has successfully provided veteran-centric education to staff and volunteers, built Aspirus' capacity to provide quality care to veterans, and developed and strengthened relationships with Veterans Affairs medical centers and other veteran organizations.


? Marathon County Sheriff Scott Parks announced the promotion of Ryan Weber to the rank of Lieutenant. Lieutenant Weber is an 11-year veteran of the Sheriff's Department and currently works with the technology aspect of various cases in the Investigations Division. Weber will be supervising deputies under the direction of the Patrol Captain.

? Marathon County Deputy Ryan Berdal has been promoted to the rank of Detective. Detective Berdal has been with the Sheriff's Department ten years and currently is a field training officer and serves on the Crash Reconstruction Team. Detective Berdal will be investigating general and/or sensitive crimes cases.
