As homelessness continues to spill over at a Green Bay shelter, De Pere officials are looking to set up some rules that govern acceptance of the overflow.

De Pere's Plan Commission recently approved an amendment to its zoning code that would allow for temporary overnight shelter for homeless residents at authorized facilities.

The update would define a temporary overnight shelter facility, allow such a facility as a conditional use in single-family residential districts and require a specific application be submitted for the establishment of a facility. ...
