Plymouth Arts Center presents two-day portrait workshop

The Plymouth Arts Center is presenting a two-day Portrait Workshop conducted by artist James Hempel from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 through Friday, Oct. 24.

In this two-day workshop participants will be working from a live portrait model using an alla prima or direct painting approach. This painting process develops the work from a strong general foundation to a resolution of particular details which capture a living likeness. Accurate perception of shapes, edges, colors and values will be emphasized.
