Some hobbies and activities are simply a way for folks to pass the time.

But for Rib Mountain resident Mike Koss, his favorite pastime almost makes him feel as if he's being transported to another world.

"Sailing is one of those things that when you first get into it, it's magical. The more you do it, the more magical it gets," said Koss, 57. "It's a great escape, and when I step onto my boat, it's almost as though I'm in a different world." ...
