Lincoln Center offers classes and activities for older adults. The Aging & Disability Resource Center of Portage County is a one-stop resource for services for seniors, adults with disabilities, their families and caregivers. Introduction to Medicare on Monday at 2 p.m. is designed to help anyone enrolling into Medicare for the first time better understand the available options. Topics covered will be the basic parts of Medicare (A, B, C, and D), how they work, how to enroll, the additional insurance options available, and the drug coverage requirement. To register for this free class, call Maria Meyer, Elder Benefit Specialist, at 715-346-1401.

This Week's RSVP Volunteer Opportunity:If you have 30 minutes a week to exercise and would like to help someone who has memory loss, the LEEPS program is for you. Volunteers meet once-a-week with their assigned person for 3 months; training is provided. Please contact Portage County RSVP if interested or for additional information.

Monday

11:30 a.m.: Music by Chet Raflik.

1 p.m.: Scrabble; bridge.

2 p.m.: Introduction to Medicare

Lunch menu: Pizza casserole, green beans, sliced peaches, ice cream.

Craft and Chat (10:30 a.m.) and bingo (12:30 p.m.) at the Amherst dining site.

Tuesday

7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.: Walking Club.

8:30 a.m.: Seniorobics.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Pool tables open play.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Holly Shoppe open.

10 a.m.: Fun & Fit exercise.

10:30 a.m.: Chair Massage.

11 a.m.: Arthritis Foundation exercise.

11:30 a.m.: Lincoln Center Summer Fest; music by West of the River Band.

12:30 p.m.: Bridge.

3 p.m.: Walking Club.

5 p.m.: Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group

Lunch menu: Baked chicken, baked potato with sour cream, garden salad, whole grain dinner roll, mandarin oranges. Bingo at the Plover dining site (11:15 a.m.); birthday celebration at the Hi Rise dining site.

Aug. 14

7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.: Walking Club.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: pool tables open play; computers for beginners; resistance chair exercise.

9 a.m.: Cribbage.

9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Foot care clinic

9:30 a.m.: Knitting

10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Holly Shoppe open.

10 a.m.: Fun & Fit exercise.

11 a.m.: Arthritis Foundation exercise.

11:30 a.m.: Music by the Potocki Family Band.

1 p.m.: Round dancing.

2 p.m.: Square dancing

3 p.m.: Walking Club.

Lunch menu: Fresh fruit plate with cottage cheese, whole grain dinner roll, lemon bar.

Birthday celebration and bingo at the Plover dining site.

Aug. 16

7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.: Walking Club.
