Following are the highlights from Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy's press conference after practice on Tuesday:
On wide receiver Randall Cobbís practicing through injured biceps:
it looked like Randallís arm was bothering him at end of practice, but I havenít spoken to him since then. He has a biceps injury heís pushing through. I think itís something heís probably going to be battling for a while.
On why he started a team period over after a fumbled snap:
The starting over was clearly a combination of things. It started early, it can be a pattern in a four-day work week, four practices. Players are human and look at work load in front of them. Once practice got going, the tempo was outstanding, definitely looked the way it needed to. Thought it ended up being a pretty good practice.
On whether cornerback Casey Hayward is close to returning from a hamstring injury:
His injury is going to take time. Communication from Casey and the medical staff is heís made a lot of progress in the last five or six days. Ö Caseyís a very instinctive player, smart, but thereís a big-time battle going on at the corner positions. The reps heís missing are important.
Mason Crosby and Georgio Tavecchio each was 8-for-8 on field goal attempts today. How does that weigh vs. game performance?
For kickers, quarterbacks, any player in the game is going to be of higher importance. Itís tough for kickers because you canít guarantee how many plays youíre going to play them in a game. I thought both kicked the ball much better today than yesterday.
How far is tackle Andrew Datko from returning from a concussion?
I was told he was getting close. Going through the concussion protocol still.
Will running backs DuJuan Harris and Eddie Lacy do any 11-on-11 work this week?
Harris is ready, I might not be as ready as he is. Important to see how he feels tomorrow. Lacy was limited today. See how they respond in morning will indicate how much work theyíll get.
Why did defensive tackle Ryan Pickett miss practice?
Personal situation. My understanding is everything is going to be OK.
Whatís the challenge of catching up Vince Young to the other quarterbacks, is it possible?
I donít think itís realistic to ask a quarterback to come in at this time and catch up to the other guys. The goal is to get him ready to play quarterback, to get comfortable, and weíll adjust accordingly. You have to be able to absorb any athlete. I want to see him comfortable playing quarterback so we can get a true evaluation.
