Running back Eddie Lacy took part only in individual and group drills today in his return to practice after missing a week because of a hamstring injury.
Lacy missed three practices and the Packers’ preseason opener last Friday because of the injury. Halfback DuJuan Harris returned a day earlier but also was held out of 11-on-11 drills Monday and today. Harris hadn’t passed his physical until this week because of a knee injury.
“DuJuan Harris is ready (for team drills),” McCarthy said. “I might not be as ready as he is. I think it’s important to see how he feels (Wednesday. Today was the) first time he’s had the pads on. He’s classified as limited, and really Eddie was put in the limited category today. See how they respond after their evaluation in the morning will be a big indicator on how much work they get (Wednesday).”
