Forbes values Packers at $1.18 billion, 12th among NFL franchises

Forbes, in its annual ranking of NFL teams, says the Green Bay Packers are the 12th most valuable in the 32-team league.

Forbes reporter Mike Ozanian wrote that the NFL is the most lucrative professional sports league in the world. NFL teams are worth, on average, $1.17 billion, 5 percent more than last year. In no other sport do the teams average as much as $1 billion.

Using its own formulas, Forbes determined the Packers were worth $1.18 billion. Ranked higher were the Dallas Cowboys, in the first position at $2.3 billion, and the Chicago Bears, ranked eighth at $1.25 billion. The Minnesota ...
