Everyone is familiar with the adage, "waste not, want not," but what does it mean to you? Are you doing everything you can to reduce the waste you produce and reduce the amount of material ending up in our landfills? Recycling goes beyond the bottles, cans and paper put into curbside carts.

The average Wisconsinite generates 4.7 pounds of trash each day and recycles 1.9 pounds of it. While this number is pretty good, we can do better by following a few simple ideas:
